Throughout August I was busy working on edits and checking proofs for Geraldine Steel number 12 which follows Death Rope next year, and submitting the first draft for number 13 which will also be published in 2019. So there is plenty of writing and editing in store for me and more Geraldine Steel books to look forward to in 2019 and beyond.
It was a great pleasure to accept an invitation to appear as the after lunch speaker for the Hertfordshire’s Women’s Institute.
Michael and I were given a warm welcome and enjoyed a fabulous lunch after which I gave a short talk to ninety ladies, telling them about my journey to publication and subsequent career as a writer.
I was very grateful to them for asking so many interesting questions, and buying so many of my books.
In other news, we were very excited to see the opening of a new independent bookshop in Pinner and I’m looking forward to making an official appearance there on 29th November.
If you’re local to the area, I hope you’ll drop in and say hi! Here I am with the owner and well known local resident.
Sarah assures me it’s a complete coincidence that some of my books are on display under the ‘Wine’ sign…
In the meantime, I’ll be out about making a few appearances next month, so here are the October dates for your diaries. I’ll post the November dates next month, and hope to meet many of you on my trips away from my writing desk before the end of the year.
